Grenson has a rich heritage in crafting premium footwear since Green & Sons started in a loft over the Corn Merchants in Rushden in Northamptonshire back in 1866 by founder William Green. One of the first shoemakers in the world to make use of the Goodyear Welted method, Grenson then produced thousands of footwear for British soldiers during the First World War and the Allied Forces during World War II, which included the innovative zip-off flying boot for air crews. Diversifying in the 1950s by creating a collection of quality moccasins and further exotic skin shoes over the next two decades, Grenson then saw a brief decline due to cheaper imported footwear at the turn of the millennium. Over the course of the next few years, Grenson revitalised with new Grenson shoe and boot collections for men and women and also set up the first shops around London, modernised a new factory and most recently their first overseas Grenson store in New York. Celebrating their 150th Anniversary, Grenson has reproduced a number of styles from throughout their history so you can enjoy quality footwear here at Blackleaf.com.
