From time to time you might have noticed that your Hunter Boots can dull or develop a white, powdery film. Don’t worry though, that’s just because of their natural rubber construction which will sometimes allow insoluble particles to rise to the surface and be visible on their outer layer. This process is known as blooming and it occurs in nature too.
Just a few simple steps will have them boots looking all brand new in no time. Plus Hunter provides a range of Hunter Rubber Care cleaning products to keep your wellingtons looking spick and span all year round.
Check out Hunter’s short film on how to clean your boots, or follow the step by step guide below.
Step 1 : Wash off any excess debris and leave to dry in a well ventilated area.
Step 2 : Prepare your boots by wiping them down with a damp cloth and then leaving them to dry in a well ventilated area.
Step 3 : If your boots are still bloomed grab your Hunter Cleaning Kit including Cloth, Rubber Buffer and Boot Shine.
Step 4 : Buff your boots by shaking the Rubber Buffer well and spraying it onto the Cloth. Buff this all over your boots and then leave them to dry in a well ventilated area.
Step 5 : Add a shining finish by wiping the Boot Shine over the surface of your boots.
