Karhu

Legendary Finnish sportswear brand Karhu has been kitting out runners with technical footwear for much of the last century. The brand was born back in 1916, when founder Ab sportartiklar Oy started crafting skis, javelins and discuses from a small workshop in downtown Helsinki. It was through the development of running shoes that the brand took off though, with their footwear being worn by the ‘Flying Finns’ who dominated the Olympics, winning over fifteen gold medals in the 1952 games. Riding the wave of success, Karhu sold their three-stripe branding to a then-little-known German athletics brand, before registering their trademark M-logo seen on their shoes today. The brand's rich heritage of sport and innovation runs through all their products, along with Finnish principles of pure and simplistic design. You’ll find a wide range of premium Karhu shoes here on Blackleaf. Channel your inner Olympian and pick up a pair today.
